Curriculum Ricercatore confermato di Lingua e Traduzione - Lingua Inglese (L-LIN/12) presso la Facoltà di Economia. Laureatasi alla Florida State University (BEd magna cum laude), ha conseguito il Master of Education (International Teaching) presso Framingham State College in Massachusetts. Ha conseguito il Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (DEA) e successivamente il PhD (cum laude) in Linguistica Applicata presso Universitat Jaume I, Departamento de Estudios Ingleses, Castellón de la Plana, Spagna. Dal 2001 al 2003 ha collaborato con Columbia University (New York, NY) in veste di online business writing tutor. Nel 2002 è stata beneficiaria del Morley Scholarship for Studies in Second Language Learning and Teaching presso English Language Institute dell'Università di Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). Nel 2005 è stata visiting lecturer presso Universitat Jaume I, Castelló de la Plana, Spagna. Negli ultimi anni si è occupata principalmente del discorso accademico e professionale nell'ambito economico-aziendale, con particolare riferimento alle lezioni di economia e alle comunicazioni aziendali mediate dalle ICT. Ha partecipato ai vari programmi di ricerca interuniversitari COFIN/PRIN come membro dell'unità di ricerca di Firenze. Svolge una intensa attività di referee per le seguenti riviste internazionali: Journal of Pragmatics, English for Specific Purposes, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, Journal of Research in Reading e Reading in a Foreign Language. E' membro delle seguenti società scientifiche: AIA (Associazione Italiana di Anglistica), ESSE (European Society of Studies of English) e ABC (Association for Business Communication).
